This page gives some information about my Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited, we are using for our offroad trips. It is a 2008 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon with some modifications.
The mods are listed below:
– Lift Kit: A Poly Performance Part Stage 3 Lift Kit with 4.5 inch lift is installed:
– Warn ‘Front Bumper’ with Warn 9.5ti winch (synthetic winch line):
Warn ‘Rear Bumper’ with some custom modifications (Jerry Gas Can and HiLift Jack holder)
– Wheels: AEV Pintler with 35 inch BFG KM2 (real diameter: 33,5 inch)
– Skids and Rock Rails: The complete Rockhard 4×4 skid set (engine/oil pan/transmission….) is installed together with Riddler diff covers and Warn rock rails:
– JSS also installed a muffler skid for the new exhaust system (see below):
– For a better night view on the trails two PIAA lights are mounted:
– CB unit: A Cobra 75WXST with a Firestick 2 antenna and an external speaker got installed. The Cobra unit contains all the electronics in the hand unit and installation is pretty much space saving. The Firestick antenna is installed with a Teraflex adapter, which requires no drilling for feeding the antenna line into the Jeep.
– In August 2011 the 5.7 l VVT Hemi was installed by JSS (JeepSpeedShop). Todd did a great installation job. Here are some pictures:

A new copper brass radiator and and transmission cooler got also installed:
And finally the Hemi conversion was completed by Todd´s special exhaust system for the Hemi engine:
– To secure the engine bay, a Rampage lockable hood latch got installed:
The product finish was not perfect, so that a friend from the Phoenix area did some great re-engineering to make it work:
– Gear ratio: For the 35 inch tires a axle ratio of 4.88 was installed
– Compressor: We have a Viair 450P portable compressor onboard
Planned future mods:
Until now we have the following modifications in mind: 37 inch tires. gussets and sleeves for the axle, snorkel, heat reduction hood…
